Year Of The Affiliate eBook Version 2.0 is officially released!
I have had a busy, fun and exciting few days! It all began last week on Thursday when I spent 3 hours and carefully wrote out my Scholarship application to the Year Of The Affiliate (YOTA) Forum.

I then continued reading the Year of the Affiliate eBook and learning heaps as I read. One of the things that I appreciate about the author of the eBook, Sean Rasmussen, is that he presents the information so that even the beginner Internet Marketer can take the information and then apply it.
I have been an Internet Marketer now for coming up to a couple of years and yet each day I continue to learn more and more and refine my skills. I love it when I can learn extra tips for tools that I already use! For instance, I am learning how to use Google Reader to help to SEO my websites and to give me more backlinks to my sites. Something so simple and yet so impacting!
Sean Rasmussen’s “Turn Your Passion Into Dollars” Webinar
On Monday night this week I attended Sean’s webinar speaking about the release of the Year of the Affiliate eBook 2.0 and about the YOTA forum. At the end of the webinar Sean announced the winners of the Scholarship to the YOTA forum for 12 months along with other bonuses.

Initially, Sean was going to provide 3 scholarships, but after he received many hundreds of applications for the scholarship, Sean decided to up this to 10 scholarships! That is another thing that I have seen from Sean over the 20 months that I have known him. Sean has a generous heart and spirit and always goes above and beyond what he promises!
So then the list of names came up on the computer screen in the webinar. I felt so excited and nervous that I could not look at the screen. Instead my husband looked and said, “Leanne, your name is there!”
The “Matt” Dance
I excitedly looked and saw my name at position 3 in the list of names! I got up and did the Matt dance around the lounge-room.
(You probably have heard of Matt. If not then go to Youtube and type in “Matt video” or “Where is Matt”. You will then find some videos of Matt traveling around the world dancing in many different towns and countries! His video always blesses me and makes me smile.)
So now I am not only reading Sean Rasmussen’s great eBook on learning how to be a successful Internet Marketer through affiliate marketing, but I am also enjoying his training videos and resources in the YOTA forum!
There was one thing that Sean asked of each of the winners. He asked us to commit to give $1,000 to a charity of our choice once we earn $10,000 through the strategies in his YOTA eBook and forum.
My Commitment To Give To Compassion
I do not want to wait until we earn $10,000! I commit now, before each one reading this Blog, that as soon as we hit our first $1,000 through Sean’s strategies and training from the YOTA eBook and forum, to give 10% ($100) to Compassion international. We will ear-mark our donation specifically for their work in Gulu, Uganda – to counsel and help the ones who used to be child-soldiers in the jungles around Gulu.
Our commitment then is to continue to tithe at least 10% from each $1,000 earned to this and others of our favorite charities. Our passion to Make a Difference in the World will continue to be scaled up as our income increases. I am excited to see this happen and indeed make the world a better place and to Empower many to be all that they can be and to also make a difference in their world!

Traffic Bug
Last time we looked at an overview of Market Samurai. Today we are going to see how Traffic Bug can work for you to save you literally hours of time. We will then continue in future posts to look in more detail at Market Samurai and the many different modules and features that it contains.

When you download and first start using Market Samurai you may be prompted to download the update. The team at Noble Samurai continue regularly to produce updates that we can download and enjoy the benefits of. I recommend that if you are prompted then you go ahead and download this update.
Market Samurai - New Project
You will then come to the screen where you can start a new project. Once you multiple projects saved on your computer you then have the option of either starting a new project of opening an existing one.
Market Samurai - Naming Project
It is good idea when you begin that you select the folder location where you want all of your Market Samurai projects to be kept. They will then save in this location each time. It is also good to remember that you are able to install Market Samurai onto either 1 or 2 computers. This is handy if you have multiple computers or another family member who would also like to use the software.
Market Samurai - Project Name
It is a good idea to do the research for different Niche areas each in a separate Market Samurai project. This makes it a lot easier to manage what you are doing in each niche area.
It is helpful if you start off by calling the Project by the initial keyword that you want to research (or at least something similar that will make sense to you at a later date). You can see in our example that we called our project “Cordless Phone System” and this is the first keyword that we are going to do our research on.

The next step is to have “Google Synonym Tool” selected and then click on “Generate Keywords”. Within a short time Market Samurai has generated up to 200 keywords for you to analyze for this initial keyword that you entered.

The First Step For An Internet Marketer
Affiliate Marketing is often the first step that newbie Internet Marketers use to start to explore and find profitable niches and to begin to generate some additional income.
What is Affiliate Marketing?
So if you are new to the Internet Marketing arena then you may be asking, “So what is Affiliate Marketing? What is an Affiliate?”
These are great questions and understanding these terms is a great place to start towards your goal of becoming a successful Internet Marketer and towards generating additional income for yourself and your family.
An Affiliate Promotes Other People’s Products Or Services
To put it simply, an Affiliate is someone (like you) who promotes other people’s products or services. You simply find a product or service that you are passionate about or that you believe in and then begin to promote this to others. When someone then purchases the item that you promoted to them you receive a commission on that sale. This commission can range from 3% up to even 80%+ of the sale price – depending on the affiliate program that you have signed up with.
So following on from this, Affiliate Marketing then is the process of an affiliate making an agreement with a business merchant to go out and promote their products and/or services.
Your Unique Affiliate Marketing URL
Once you find an affiliate program that you are interested in promoting you then sign up with this business merchant and you are given a unique affiliate URL (domain name) that you can use to promote to others.
A great benefit of affiliate marketing is that you do not have to worry about customer service, shipping the product etc. All of these concerns are looked after by the business that you are an affiliate of. Your main aim and goal is to just promote their product or service and they then do the rest.
